A SERIES OF NARROW ROADS LINED WITH HOUSES AND SEASIDE RESTAURANTS
leads
you to this comfortable, homely hotel. As you enter the spacious
lobby the sound of the ocean strikes you, with the sound of the
mighty waves crashing against the beach just outside of the hotel.
A
trim bridge carries you from the large and inviting hotel pool,
over the railway, to the beach and beyond - the welcoming Indian
Ocean, glittering in the sunlight, warm and spectacular. A narrow
path leads away from the bridge to the beachfront bar 'Sea Spray'
that also doubles up as a café and BBQ spot at night, on
about two hundred feet of private beach.
There
is nothing as relaxing as sipping the juice of the native coconut,
as you lounge on one of the many deck chairs scattered on the
sand. You could catch a bit of sun, or rent out a cabana (also
along the beach) for the day where you watch the waves go by.
The
hotel has a recommended restaurant cum coffee shop (The Royal
Garden) offering three meals a day with its specialty breakfast
buffet. There is also a lobby bar and a stand-alone restaurant
(The Peacock Lounge) with its own bar, offering theme nights (Steak
House, BBQ, Sri Lankan Delights and Pasta Nights) both for the
hotel's in-house guests as well as outside diners.
Spacious
double and triple rooms all have a spectacular view of the sea
from a private balcony. Each room enjoys room service as well
as the fitted television, mini bar and air conditioner.
The
hotel also finds space for conference halls, which could be converted
to reception halls or used for private functions.
