LOCATED JUST MINUTES AWAY FROM A WORLD HERITAGE SITE

in the ancient sacred city of Anuradhapura, this quiet hideaway overlooks the enormous Nuwara Wewa tank.

A beautifully landscaped lawn confronts you as you walk though the spacious veranda, leading to a large and enticing pool and further, to quaint rocky pathways, flower beds, water fountains and a natural pond. Just beyond, a scene from the river Nile is displayed - reeds resting on the banks of the waterbed rustle in the wind, while the waters of the tank gently glide beneath. A well-placed garden seat invites you to sit down before this panorama and spend an hour in contemplation, cut away from the hustle of the world.

The hotel offers rooms that are spacious, tiled, air conditioned, well-lit, beautifully furnished in wood and wrought iron, with a cheerful fabric painted panel that adds a touch of class. Each room also has a balcony offering some of the finest views of the area.

It is hoped that soon there will be a mini bar and television in every room. Other future plans include chalets as an option to rooms and a club membership to regular guests.

The hotel accommodates a modern restaurant serving both eastern and western dishes. Regular theme nights include BBQ by the poolside and Sri Lankan nights. Two well-stocked bars, including a poolside bar, help you sit, relax and enjoy the scene. 24-hour room service, a same day laundry service, IDD facilities, a left luggage service and conference facilities are also available.

There is plenty to see in this part of the world, including some of the best heritage sites in the sacred city. A guide and vehicle can be arranged if you so wish. There is also bird watching, boating, fishing, cycling and meditation on offer.
