has the double attraction of not only being situated on Beruwela's famous "Garden Mile" but also of being set in beautiful, tropical gardens. The gardens around the pool is a mass of trees and green grass - a cool, breezy atmosphere just a step away from the long wide golden beaches.

It's a fairly large hotel, with 192 rooms, all of them of a high standard, with balcony, TV, mini-bar, IDD phone and all air conditioned. The majority of the rooms are sea-side, and the rest are garden-facing.

The hotel attracts a mix of older and younger guests, as well as families, mostly from Germany Britain. There is plenty of space in the shady gardens and on the long stretch of beach for guests to enjoy a totally relaxing holiday. There is also a full range of facilities for a more active holiday, with two full time animators organising sporting activities. The hotel also has a fitness center, and for water sports, the 'Confifi Marina' offers water skiing, scuba diving, windsurfing, jet skis and fishing. For the slightly less actively inclined, there is also a large games room, with table football, snooker, table tennis and pool.

For families, the hotel runs a mini-club with full time attendants organizing games, painting, sports and others activities for children.

The hotel is also the location of a full-time Medical Center which serves all the Confifi hotels.
For alternative medical advice, herbal healing, and ayurvedic massage, there is a beautiful tranquil Ayurveda Villa. A fully trained doctor offers consultations in English and German.

With live bands, cultural shows and a disco, evenings can be lively. The emphasis, though, is on relaxation, and the hotel is big enough that guests can choose the level of activity which suits them.
