The lush woodland with its massive trees that surround the guest rooms, seem to continuously look down at their reflection in the crystal waters around them, holding them in a watery prison from which they never seem to want to escape. Nature abounds at the tree tops, where a group of monkeys try to outsmart a squirrel for her nuts. And shy birds flit from branch to branch in a continuous dance. Habarana Lodge has recently been named a 'bird friendly hotel' - one of three in Sri Lanka - and organises bird watching tours on request.

Each chalet opens onto to its own unique view of nature. All chalets are air conditioned and very comfortable. The superior rooms offer a mini bar, cable television, and bath.
